Delirious ramblings... colds wear me out! Gigs, CMA Fest, auditions, and radio time!
Posted on March 8, 2010 with 4 commentsHello everyone and Happy Monday! I'm sniffling and sneezing right now. It must be cold season in Christine Marie-land! Tissues, DayQuil and glasses of water are all around me... but I am still feeling great!
As you know, we have finished the music video and it is in its editing stages right now. I can't wait to see the first cut of it... and then share the finished product with all of you!
As far as gigs go, I've got a GREAT one coming up that I would love for you to attend! A few weeks ago I auditioned for a Music Festival down here in San Diego and, well...I made it! :) So, I will be performing at the Coyote Music Festival on May 1 at Cuyamaca from 12:25-12:40 (I'm pretty sure) and I would love to see you guys there! I forgot to share with you guys about my audition for Original Smash Hits up in Los Angeles, CA. I'm not sure how much I am allowed to say, but the audition went really well and everyone loved 'Boy Behind the Radio'! I am thinking that that one is definitely a winner. ;) I have another audition coming up over Spring Break that I cannot wait to tell you all about. I love all this audition business!
As of right now, it looks like we're headed to Nashville in early June... right after I get out of school. That is perfect timing because, if everything works out right (Knock on wood and beg my mother!) we will be going to... CMA FEST!!!!!!!!!! If you do not know what that is, it is basically THE Country Music Event of the year. Four days jam-packed with music, meet and greets, food, and good, country fun, all taking place at my favorite football stadium in the world - LP Field. What could be better?! Oh, performing would be nice too... maybe next year? ;) All I know is that that trip would equal the potential to meet my hero AND new music would be on its way into your hands! Yay!!!
I know you guys have probably heard me mention "Jango". It's an online radio station that I am currently in rotation on (is that correct grammar?) and I just received word that I am a top artist this week on the website! That means that YOU all have voted me into that position and I am so excited! I get a LOT more airplay out of this which means even more exposure. You guys are the best! It's back to school work for me for tonight. It's almost Spring Break, though. Just about three more weeks of school and then two weeks of vacation! I hope everyone is having a swell week so far. Just remember, the hardest day of the week is already over! But we love Mondays here in Christine Marie-land because it's Blog Day!
Oh! I forgot to tell you! Keep your eyes peeled because Christine Marie the YouTuber is about to make a comeback! I have missed posting cover videos and v-logs (video blogs!) for everyone, so get ready for all of that again. YouTube is such a wonderful place for musical exposure! I know some of you here right now found me there, and that is awesome!
